I'm not seeing a lot of good solutions for keeping a kayak inside without upcycling it and making it unusable as a kayak. Do you have a vehicle you could store the kayak on? Can you install something to hang it from the ceiling, but still have it out of your way?
Hi Patricia
I agree with Beth. If you have room, you could go with your idea, however I think hanging it would add to your decor. ;) Wishing you the best.
Patricia: I would suspend it from the ceiling.
Hi ! We used to keep our kayaks behind our love seat !!! You could build a box that your kayak can fit into , then place glass , plexiglass or even an old narrow door over the top and use it as a coffee table . Or as a table behind your sofa and put plants on it . You can hang it from the ceiling , using a pulley system , if you have the sit on kind , instead of the sit in mind you can get hanging pendant lighting to hang lights through the holes ... Have fun with it !!!
Hi, Patricia!
A frame to go around the kayak with a solid top would make a fabulous console table behind a sofa! This one would be easy and inexpensive to build... The frame can be adjusted as needed and the kayak could rest on the shelves or the shelving omitted and the kayak can rest on the floor. I hope this helps!
