How can I repair a crumbling basement floor?
my cement floor in my basement is crumbling and flaking in several placesI'm thinking that we have an underground water problem. I’ve never had this issue in any of my other houses. What do I to eliminate this annoying problem. I’m hoping that my home talk community can help. Thanks.

It sounds like it could be a moisture problem. My first questions are: Is the water table high where you live? Do you have gutters? What is the grading like around your house? Are there any problems with the basement walls? Sorry - a lot of questions when you want answers. I would probably contact a professional to help pinpoint the problem.
