Try the "meat" of a walnut, rub on the scratches.
If that doesn't work, check out Rejuvenate. It's a restoring product.
Hi Elizabeth, unless you're going to sand the floor and refinish it or fill the scratches with wood filler of some sort, hiding them is probably the easiest. We've done this with furniture markers or furniture pencils. They work well, you just have to pick a match. Hope that helps.
Minwax Stain markers for surface scratches. Minwax Blend Fil pencils for deep scratches. Minwax wood putty for deeper scratches. Come in all wood tones.
You may be able to fill in the scratches with a Minwax Blend & Fill Pencil. https://www.minwax.com/wood-products/maintenance-repair/minwax-blendfil-pencil
These are all great ideas to fix the scratches. Don't forget to put those little pads on your furniture or a rug under it to prevent this in the future. However, we've done that and they've fallen off or the carpet has bunched up and we've gotten scratches regardless! It is a struggle, for sure!
I use a scratch remover that you can get for dark or light wood floors or furniture and just follow directions on the bottle simple to use (Old English is the brand) https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwjDvePEjvDmAhXCn7MKHfIIDzgYABACGgJxbg&sig=AOD64_2yJ1gJxR8tknLt96490RWsbISg_Q&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwjB5NjEjvDmAhUREawKHdW9AJoQww96BAgSEDM&adurl=
You can’t but you could get wood touch up and cover them so you won’t see them get furniture scratch touch up sticks there like markers they work great they are sold at Home Depot or supermarkets
I would treat it just like furniture. My first plan would be to rub a walnut over the scratch. If that doesn't work then try a furniture pen that matches the wood of your floor. Fill in the area with the furniture pen. Then get some old english that matches your floor and rub it over the scratch.
