Hi Sonya, if you're looking for something long to cover, I would add curtains with rings to they slide easily. If you just want a topper a valance is pretty and won't get in the way of the door operation. Either way, I love the look of ring clip window treatments because they are super easy to make, minimal sewing if any, plus you can make them from tablecloths and sheets or linens without any sewing at all. The rings allow them to slide easily without having pinch pleats. Here's an example if you like: https://www.exquisitelyunremarkable.com/2014/01/easy-ring-clip-curtains.html
Hi Sonya, if light blocking is what you're looking for a window film over them might be just the ticket. They're very inexpensive and totally removable if you end up not liking the look in the future.
Hello Sonya! If you are looking for away to add some privacy and let the light in try some privacy film. Amazon has many different patterns, lengths and widths for very reasonable prices. If you want to hang a rod you can add curtain panels with grommet rings at the top so they slide easily to open and close. I have grommet panels over the blinds in my windows in the living room so I can open and close the panels in the evening. I am a bargain shopper for curtain panels! I find a lot of great prices on Amazon and JC Penny for curtain panels as well as Menards and Lowes. I love to change out my curtains a few times a year!
Be very careful using a window film. There are some out there that are no more then dark plastic. I would go to amazon.com and check the customer reviews very carefully. There reviews are getting hard to believe since some people seem to be offered discounts on their orders for 5 star reviews. This isn't a very common practice but it does happen.

You can pick up some great deals on curtains at JCPenney. I got some for less than $8 a panel and they are thermal, sun blocking. Just wait for a good sale. Then put a rod up above the doors. I have a large set of windows where I used mine. I got the rod at Ollie's for a great price.
Put. Curtain rods over them and hang curtains use rods with extensions to cover the blinds so there wide enouph
Curtains would be good. Make sure the return on the rod extends out past the blinds if the blinds are outside mount. You can also go with insulated curtains which will keep the cold out too.
