I think this is a job for a contractor. There are pipes involved which may need to be moved. There is also an exhaust stack that cannot be moved by a DIY person.

Do you want to install a shower in an existing bathroom that already has only a bathtub, or in a room that presently does not have any water access yet?
If the latter, then the large part of the expense would be with installing plumbing lines for incoming clean water, and a drain for the outgoing dirty water. The cost could easily run you into the 10's of thousands.
