Fill a ziplock with clr and attach it to the shower head and let it soak.
Do as above but fill with vinegar

But if it is just the showerhead, use a bag filled with vinegar water and a few drops of dish detergent and rubber band it onto the shower head to soak for a few hours before scrubbing clean.
How to Easily Remove Hard Water Deposits
Depending on how bad it is, you can do the vinegar filled bag if it's severe. I do mine on a regular basis and it never gets to that degree. I have a spray bottle of white cleaning vinegar that I spray the head very well until it is dripping. Wait about 5 minutes. Then I run my finger over each of the rubber covers on the head to break up any deposits. Turn on the shower and we're all good.
