If you need a shade,, but don't like the colour - paint it! Add appliques/braid to change the look. If the cover is shot. Strip it off and use it in its raw state (very fashionable at the moment)!If you don't need another shade, turn it up and use it as a hanging planter when lined and chains etc. are added. Enjoy.......
Tear off the fabric & use small clips to attach postcards, photos, Christmas cards and attach to a vintage lamp. A unique way to display momentos!

What I did was remove the fabric and cover it with fine mesh all over except the bottom. Then use it to cover food at picnics, it will keep the bugs off.
