I have several iron wall hangings I would like to chalk paint. What is the best way to layer different colors on the wrought iron?
The best way is to spray paint. I prefer RustOleum brand. Make sure you clean well, scrape any loose old paint with a stiff wire brush. Then you are ready to start.
I agree with the first answer. Rustoleum is also my favorite brand for this kind of situation! If you have access to a power washer definitely hit that furniture with it or, another alternative, is you could take it to a do it yourself car wash and save yourself a lot of time in scraping and cleaning it before painting.
Spray paint all the way. Clean, sand/wire brush, wipe well, and spray paint.
Spray paint!
spray paint is the best option .. they do have a kind for outdoor use
Spray paint is the easiest option- but make sure you're selecting an outdoor grade paint designed for metal.
Hello. After a thorough cleaning in removing any rust or debris I would recommend spray paint. The Rustoleum universal line is a very nice product choice
If there’s any rust, use a rust converter then spray paint.
Spray paint!
Hi there, this video will show you how - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obl9eml60V0
Spray paint after all the rust is cleared away, Rustoleum or Krylon work well on a project like this. Be sure to paint using light layers of paint so you won't get runs, let dry between each application.
Scrape any rust with a wire brush try to get as much off as possible then paint your color use rustolium paint
