Hello Adele,
I would secure the stencil in place and use a stencil brush to stipple on the design.
Have fun......
Hi Adele, the trickiest part to using a stencil on leather is that it is not always a flat, even surface. I would advise using a very thin stencil and testing on an inconspicuous spot first. Have a cup of water and a rag handy as well because if it is bleeding or you don't like the look, you are able to wash it off if you do it right away. If you have a picture of what the leather looks like we can offer some more tips as well. Have fun with your project!
Hi Adele,
I can see that you got quite a few answers so I thought I'd look for something else that might be helpful. Below is an article from Plaid that has a lot of tips/suggestions to try. Just scroll down past the items to use for stenciling until you reach "What is the best way to stencil?".
There might be some tips the you haven't seen that could enhance the piece you're working on. Of course, the other information above that is good, but you should have already read about those items. :) I hope this helps you. Wishing you the best.
