How to fix dryer condensation issue?
We just got a new steam dryer 5 days ago. We used it for once the same day it arrived. We noticed that after 5 days the dryer has some water in the drum if we close its door. The door has also some water on it (sweating). If we open the door for few hours ,the water will dry and it looks clean, closing the door again will make the water condensate again.
We cleaned the vent up to the roof before we installed the dryer. It looks for me this is the moisture from the outdoor humidity (FL) sneaking into the dryer, is that even possible ? Or the dryer defective ? Any advice would be very helpful , thanks !

Did you install the dryer yourself or have it installed? I would call the mfg of the dryer or go to their website and ask the question there. I am sure they can tell you how to prevent this or what to do if there is a problem.

I would call whoever made your steam dryer and talk to them. They most likely have experience with that problem or condition and can help you in much more detail.
Anas I would call the manufacturer before too much more time passes. If its not normal then it should still be covered by your waranty.
Hi, Anas, I found a most interesting post for you-

Once on this site, look for a post on the first page from " BVO 12159", from July 07, 2016. This specifically relates to steam dryer use in FL. You'll see the corrections needed due to your State's excessive humidity levels. It addresses specifics re: smooth metal ducts, outside flaps, etc. The problem can be exacerbated if the dryer is located in an air conditioned space (highly likely, given your location.).
Call the manufacturer with the make and model numbers, it must still be under warranty since it was installed only days ago. They have a hotline to help you troubleshoot your particular problem. Have a list of the symptoms it is having so you don't forget to mention anything. Best to you.
Hmmm, my dryer does regular drying, steaming, and sanitizing. I have never noticed this. I would definitely call the manufacturer. I trust you read your User Manual?
Hi Anas,
Agree with others about contacting the manufacturer as you will be under warranty.
As another resource, check out hellodwelling.com - you can video chat with an appliance repair professional to diagnose the issue and receive guidance on how to repair the machine yourself.
Good luck!
Yes, I would think that it is possible, the same way that items in fridges located in high humid climates will become wet.
Have you tried keeping the door of the dryer open (or at least ajar) when not in use?
Do you have a dehumidifier in the home?
Hello, I have never noticed this on my electric dryer and I used the steam sanitizer cycle on occasion. I would suggest calling the manufacturer first and discussing it with their product specialist for troubleshooting help.
Hi! New appliances with issues deserve free service calls to deal with issues. I have the steam feature, but, have never had a problem with condensation. Good luck and stay safe!
Hi Anas, It's possible to find condensation in the dryer drum after the drying cycle ends. Condensation usually results from improper ventilation, which can cause moisture and lint to collect in the dryer's exhaust system duct and leak back into the dryer after it turns off.
Thank you everyone! I contacted the manufacturer and they believe the dryer might leaking the water from the steam hose and they are going to replace it for me. Thanks again
