How do I remove stains (from planter) from my concrete stoop?
I have a beautiful blue ceramic planter on my stoop that has left a stain on my concrete stoop. I have tried scrubbing it but it doesn't help. What works?
KItty litter may soak up the excess.
We bought kitty litter to soak up the oil in our driveway. You can also try a can of Coke to clean the area. Hardware stores also sell cleaners for oil and automotive spills.
Start with either oil dry or cat litter. Sprinkle it on the spill and let it absorb the oil. Sweep away. Repeat until most of it is pulled. Then use a degreaser like purple power to scrub.
Yes, “scub in” the cat litter with a block-sized scrap of framing lumber (in the States we’d call it a 2x4).
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your suggestions, It is NOT OIL it is Fuel and has seeped into the driveway and has dried leaving a stain!
I would use blue "Dawn" liquid detergent and scrub area well with scrub brush, then rinse with water. If there is any residual stain, pour kitty litter clay onto spot and let sit overnight, sweep off litter. Hope this helps!
I vote for blue Dawn and kitty litter. That's what we've done and usually it helps.
Kitty litter for sure
Put cat litter on it the kind that absorbs and clumps so it will pick it up after it clumps pick it up and lay somemore after all is up clean the driveway with CLR cleaner sold at home depot follow directions on box.
Folks,
The question is asking how to remove the Stain caused by a fuel (gasoline) spill, Not how to remove oil or gasoline, from a driveway.
