How to clean and polish the hardwood floor?
Here's a video that might help - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6NX6BIM4Q0
I vacuum and use a hardwood floor cleaner with a reusable microfiber mop. I don't polish the floors as that would make them too slippery. Avoid Murphy's Oil Soap as it dulls wood over time.
Faye: maybe this will help
I would mop like always, then take a dust mop put some pledge on it and go over it but it does make it slippery.
Hi Faye, her's a link that should help you out,
It will depend on the finish that was used on the floor when it was laid. Mine have a polyurethane finish on them and I mop with 2 gallon warm water, 1 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/2 tsp blue dawn (wrung thoroughly). That cleans and keeps them shiny but a couple of times a year I run my Shark steam mop over them and then spritz with OrangeGlo. For day to day, I use a microfiber mop that is similar to a swiffer but you just throw the pad in the wash instead of replacing.
