There are many beautiful and practical window cling films, just peel and stick- easy removal, whether you want them for privacy or other reasons, take a look at what Amazon has to offer:

You can also find them at Lowes and Home Depot.
You could use cafe curtains. Hang a rod at the halfway point of your window and hang curtains that cover just the bottom half of the window.
Hello it might depend upon where the actual windows are. I agree with the above post the privacy window clings are beautiful way to manage letting light in but having complete privacy. We have applied them to three of our bathroom windows. Much appreciate the look rather than the pleated shades that we have. We may consider doing the same thing in the master bedroom closet which unfortunately has 2 windows.
You could spray them with frosted glass spray paint. It provides a modern, clean look and privacy.
I was going to suggest hanging a rod halfway down like the person above. Y0u can mount it to your window frame or the wall right beyond the frame and then hang shorter curtains that will block half of the window but still be able to be opened.
You could hang cafe style curtains with the rod set at halfway.
Cafe curtains hung from the middle of your window down.. If the windows have a side you could use a tension rod.
You could put some privacy film on the bottom windows.
What about curtains on a side mount swing arm rod that swings open to one side? With this style of window covering it is fast and easy to 'open' and 'close'.

You can use a static cling privacy film. I have achieved great success with the brand Rabbitgoo. It's easy to apply, just wet the glass then peel the protector off the film and position into place. I purchased mine off Amazon.
Window film is perfect for this.
