The upstairs toilet tank leaked through the living room white popcorn ceiling stain which is dark beige. What type of paint can I use to cover this this so it does not show anymore?

You may want to paint the stain with Kilz to seal it in, then paint with the same color as your ceiling.

Make sure the leak has been stopped to begin with.
Then, you'll need a stain blocking primer for the stained area.
To match the color of the paint on the ceiling, take a small piece of the popcorn ceiling (unstained) to a Home Depot of Lowes and they can match the color of the ceiling from that small piece.
Hello using a stain sealing primer and repainting should help. I have used both kilz and Bullseye 123 for stain sealing needs.
Have the paint color matched and use a formula
for ceilings
Kilz 2 should do the trick. You can use the spray version, which is normally an exact color match, or brush it on. If brushing, you will most likely have to paint the entire ceiling. Use a thick nap roller for that job.
I would spray Ceiling paint for the best results.
you need a product like Kilz to paint over the stain then repaint that area
I agree with the Kilz, it works wonderfully. Then, I would just paint the entire ceiling again. You could even go lighter for the ceiling to freshen it up.
You would need to use a primer first and then I would paint the whole ceiling
