Yes I have used eggshell on my walls and semigloss on the trim.
You guys have helped me! I’m going with the same white on ceilings/flat, walls/eggshell and trim/semi gloss. We have retired to a house half the size of our old one. I need the bigger cleaner look. THANK YOU ALL! This house started with dark red carpet and Yamaha yellow walls…😳
I haven't done it, but for a little contrast use 2 different finishes of paint. For instance, the walls white in eggshell and the trim white in semi-gloss.
no I like contrast so my walls are colors and my trim is bright white just my preference
The closest I have come is a very pale gray (nearly white) with creamy white semi gloss trim. I do like the eggshell texture on the walls. The semi-gloss makes the trim so much more durable.
Hello. We have shades of white and off-white through our home applied with home remodel erasing all colors. It is very neutral and room brightening. Our den is 100% wood walls ceiling and floor and the white is a welcome contrast.
Our only mistake was probably using a handful of white shades instead of one—- making touch up a bit more complicated and purchasing more expensive solid wood paneled doors instead of the composite fiberboard doors as a cost saving option.
I find too much white looks sterile. I am a contrast person.
But to each their own!
We love warm barely off white walls and bright white semi gloss trim.
