What tree is this? Why are leaves falling?

The leaves on this tree are falling prematurely. Every one of them that falls is still green. The top of my driveway is completely littered with green leaves from this tree. What could be causing the leaves to fall? I did check for lightning strikes. I didn't see any. Thanks for your help.
Tree near my driveway. What is it?

Today I saw a Catapaw tree that even though it's not in my yard, I know is at least 25 years old...and I know this because I got seeds off of it when it was about five and my baby got hit by a tornado and taken out but another one of it's babies is thriving at my mothers house...anyway I said all that to say this, the entire tree and every leaf was wilted drooping from this extreme heat. Mature trees may SURVIVE this kind of heat and drought but they cannot THRIVE, especially those that have the additional burden of fruit/nuts. they need to be deep watered once a week. and by deep watered I mean trickle or sprinkler for at least 2-3 hours. Trees are competeing with the grass and weeds and flowers and their roots are a lot deeper and it takes a long time for the water to reach that level. I watered one bed this morning about 9:30 and Steam came off the rocks that line the bed...and it was 9:30 am! and it just kept drying off and more steam...so imagine how bad that tree needs water...

Yeah...but the leaves falling off of this tree is green. The tree has gotten plenty of water from the rain that we have had over the last couple of months. There was about a 8 day stretch that I didn't get any rain and the temps were extremely high. The thing that is most puzzling is that the leaves are green when they fall off.

Well then look and see if it has ants....I have an apricot that drops leaves every summer that are green and usually it's ants underground eating the roots...although this year it might have been the grasshoppers and cicadas....but but the end of summer it's almost bare...and when I treat it underground with insecticide it recovers.

It looks like a variety of passion fruit. They grow on vines and trees. Tear a leaf, if it has a mild lemon smell than that is what it is. If it is....the fruit and leaves are edible
