Scorch
One of the most common “diseases” we see is scorch, which occurs when the roots of a tree are not able to supply water faster than it is being transpired by the leaves. Browning around the edges of the leaves is the result. Trees, such as Japanese maples or dogwoods that prefer light shade are most susceptible. Keep plants well watered during periods of drought.
If the stems and leaves of your peony suddenly turn brown and begin to wilt in the early spring or summer, the plant may have contracted peony wilt. This disease is caused by the fungus Botrytis paeoniae. The fungus attacks and kills the tissues of the peony's leaves, stems and flower buds.
When Botrytis blight of peony is a problem, avoid the use of dense, wet mulches and apply the first fungicide spray in early spring just as the red shoots begin to push up out of the ground. With continuous inspection and careful sanitation gray mold can be effectively managed.
It's caused by a fungus and the treatment is a fungicide spray.

Not enough water
Hi! It looks very dry to me. It should perk up with some careful watering. Good luck and stay safe!
It could be lack of water and high temperatures.
I think your tree peony plant is not getting enough water. Adding sand into the soil will help retain moisture. Rather than flooding it with water one day and waiting for it to dry out to flood it again, you could also poke a few holes in a bottle of water and place it near the roots. It will keep a slow watering for several days in a row. Good luck.
Hi this is Peggy. Sorry you are having problems with your peony plant. I hope this information helps you save your plant.

Hello,
I would guess the plant is in a too dry atmosphere...........Best wishes
Extra water should help!
I would try to move it somewhere cooler since it is in a pot and water it thoroughly. Make sure there is proper drainage on the bottom.
You can always get advise from your local nursery. Take a section of the plant for them to see.
Mine has also gone the same way. Did they dry out too much through the dry weather?
Is it crispy? Crispy usually means too dry or too much sun. Yellow means not enough light.
