I wanted to know if their is any kind of glue or adhesive that would hold a piece of porcelain that I broke off of the toliet bowl and that piece has one of the screws that go into the water tank??? The bowl is not cracked and either is the tank...I was changing the screws in the water tank to brass and had diffculty getting one screw lose so I got my vise gripe which held the screw in place but I turned it to hard and broke that piece off with the screw still attached...I cut the screw off but now I would like to reattach that piece of porcelain back to the bowl instead of putting my money down the toliet!! HA! HA! But really any one know of any thing that would hold that piece of Porcelain to the bowl and then be able to support the water tank full???? If not I guess I will be buying a new Throne!!!!! Thanks

My concern here is that even with some decent epoxy or so it will not be strong enough to support the tank bolts...if the tank is re-installed and then fails you will have a few gallons of water spilling out as the tank tips to one side because the bolt is gone. I would replace the bowl...you can get just the bowl part fairly cheap I have seen some is the 40 buck range.

@KMS Woodworks I didn't know you could buy toilets in separate pieces. The guy at Home Depot told me you couldn't do that because the tank and the bowel would not match up and they would leak at the point where the pipe of the tank fits into the hole in the back of the bowel. Nice to know if we ever have to buy another toilet. Because we found out the hard way that you get what you pay for.
  • I agree with Kevin, There are plenty of glues that would work, but for how long? Your better off replacing the tank on this. The damage the toilet would cause when it fails, (of course you will not be home when it happens) would cost you way more then what a new tank will in the long run.
