This a weed that my dad use to refer to as 'lambsquarters'. It is edible.

Lambsquarter looks a lot like another weed that is not edible. The way I tell the difference is that lambsquarter has a slightly gritty silvery frosting on the new leaves & on the under side of the adult leaves. It's very tasty if picked young, cleaned & steamed. Yumm-yumm.

it is edible and very tasty, a tender vegetable...i let them grow wild in my yard and even freeze some already stir fried...tastes nutty kind of when eaten raw...

This weed is known as pigweed white goosefoot, wild spinach. It contains large amounts of calcium, protein, vitamins A and C.
