If you could add a picture, it would make it easier for us to help you with ideas. However, I deal with the same issues! Try floating shelves on the wall or under the sink storage!

I use a hanging shoe drawer made of fabric to hang behind the bathroom door. You could store almost anything in there like towels and even toiletries. Furthermore, it keeps the mess away as it is well hidden behind the bathroom door. If you would like to conceal the mess in, you could choose the shoe drawer that comes with a cover.
