How can you replace one ceramic sink in a 2-sink granite vanity top?

I live in PA. I accidentally dropped a can of hairspray into my ceramic sink. It cracked the sink and a piece fell out. How can I replace the sink without changing the whole top? I've contacted contractors and plumbers, and no one wants to put in a new sink. They will only replace the entire granite top/sink combination.

Do you know what granite co did your countertop? If so, they are the ones who attached the sinks. If not contact granite co that make countertops, chances are they have the same size sink and can replace. You will have to have the plumbing disconnected and reconnected. They don't do plumbing. Good luck.

It all depends how the sinks were attached to the top. If they were epoxied on there is no way to remove them. If it was just caulked and brackets hold it to the counter it can be removed. Look underneath and see how it is mounted.

If you would like to do a temporary fix to make the sink usable, you can use some two part epoxy like the one you can find at Lowes , it comes in a double syringe and you squeeze out how much you need then mix the two together, the spread it on both the pice and the sink and hold it in place for about a minute, you will still see the break, but at least you can use the sink until you can replace it.

How about just replacing both sinks with drop in sinks? Of course that's if you can find the same size. It might not be as pretty as the way it is now, but it would definitely prevent you from having to replace the whole counter, plus you'd have 2 new sinks. I'm sure the sinks you have can be removed by cutting them out underneath.
