I'm not a builder but I would guess that you would need to remove the shower then it could be framed up into a linen closet. If you don't want to lose the shower for future use or resale I would buy a shelving unit that fits inside the shower. Hang a curtain to use as "doors" and call it a day.

  • Install shelves. Get help if you need it, a handyperson ought to be good enough.

we just recently done that. We took out the shower and put up new drywall. Paint, add shelves and put a bifold door up. It was easier than we thought it was going to be. Hope this helps.

You could install wire (try Rubbermaid.com) shelving and go to a home recycling center for a fantastic old door. When we bought our new house, finally, I expanded our walk-in closet with Rubbermaid shelving and even added room for sheets. (We have a VERY small linen closet.)
