Is it hard to just replace a bathroom sink top?

Bathroom cabinet is in good shape. The top is a mess and very old. Tight budget.

With a very tight budget, then paint is the most economical solution. Take a look at Giani Granite or Rustoleum. They both make a perfectly acceptable long-wearing countertop paint and have loads of great reviews.

FYI, the epoxy finish she uses at the end is not a requirement for the Giani kit.

It would depend on the kind of top you want to put on. Check prices for tops, or for top and sink if needed and you may find something you like for not too much. Check Restore to see if they may have some. You just want to make sure that you get the right size top and sink opening to fit the base cabinet. Painting may be the way to go if new tops are out of your budget.

Our experiencing looking at a new sink top for our existing cabinet which is in great shape as well is that it’s cheaper to buy a granite sink/cabinet, package in to purchase the granite sink top alone. Other economical options might be to check craigslist or the REstore recycle for budget friendly options
