How do I make this wood vanity pretty?
I have a bathroom counter in wood which is getting cracked and damaged. Trying to figure out the easiest and cheapest way to somehow paint it with black and silver sparkle look that won't be damaged by water help!?

I you want a countertop that is really waterproof, my suggestion is to purchase a ready made piece of laminate countertop. These come with integrated backsplash lips and a rounded front edge as well. They are quite readily available, and can be cut to any custom width that you require.
Although there are kits available for 'painting' countertops, these are designed for laminate, not wood. As well, at best, they are intended for a temporary decor change, not to be permanently waterproof.
For the price of materials, supplies, plus your time and labour, it may be more effective to purchase a new laminate countertop. Check out selections at home improvement stores.

Hi Kendra. Use exterior paint in black, add some silver glitter, then a coat of marine spar varnish once the paint is dry and cured.
