You may be able to salvage it if you can take it apart without ruining it. It doesn't look like there is enough material to make a table. Your level of woodworking skills will determine how you can do it. You can buy legs and a top at home improvement stores. Before starting make sure the material is worth saving.
Add a drawer to the open side, use bins or baskets for the shelves, paint to match your decor and add a stool and mirror.
Hi there, Add a swing Mirror and a stool and maybe a small posy of flowers. Or you could add a Jug and Bowl..........Enjoy!

I would paint it whatever color you like, get some beautiful fabric and make a very full skirt. You can add this with elastic strips threaded through a hem and use upholstery tacks. Add some baskets to the shelves to hold items you want there. Look for an inexpensive mirror at thrift stores, Ross, etc. Add a little lamp for light.
Thank you. You guys gave me lots of great ideas. And i will make sure To post the results of whatever I end up doing with this table .
I recommend painting the desk a pastel color, and using self stick hook and loop (velcro) to attach a skirt. Very minimal sewing skills required. Then, just use the existing shelves to place baskets for storage, and you could even place a plastic three drawer storage unit underneath, on the left, so you don't have to build anything at all.
