I used extra long heavy suspenders, one clip to each corner on the bottom of the bed. After that adjust to just tight, too tight will tear sheet,
ha I know what you mean with the elastic things. I always had that happen to me. I ended up just only buying deep pocket sheets, from a local company. They were about 90 dollars for the set. I eventually said forget that and bought a new bed. And made sure that it was standard size.
I said bottom of bed, I hope you understand I meant underside of mattress.
