I have a 1 x 6 board with peg screws in my closet that I hang my necklaces on.  They are out of the way yet convenient.  I have a wood rack behind the bedroom door with peg screws on the side for my bracelets. The main part of this rack is small dowels which I hang my earrings on.  Everything is close at hand but also out of sight.

Purchase a 'shadow box frame' in a size that accommodates your necklaces.  Cover the interior back of the frame with a fabric of your choice.  Use decorative push-pins  for each necklace.  You may need to add a tiny knob to the front side of the shadow box to help open it.   Hang the shadow box on the wall where it is convenient.  This is really attractive, you can make it to match your decor and add push-pins as your collection of necklaces increases.

An over-the-door hanger with 4 or 5 hooks is an easy way to hang necklaces.

Put Command Hooks on the inside of cabinet doors.  Works like a charm to solve this problem.

I found the perfect storage for my many pairs of earrings--candy boxes with those thin molded plastic trays inside.  Each pair nests separately in the appropriately sized and shaped compartment in the tray.
