Lila on Oct 16, 2016First I covered the top of the frig - you can use a kitchen towel, etc. Then I used an appropriate sized picnic basket to hold items I infrequently use. The top keeps the items from becoming dusty. A decorative towel can be draped over the entire basket for eye-appeal -- or even a bouquet of "wild" flowers as if you're ready for a picnic.Helpful Reply

Mariann on Oct 24, 2016Add a cabinet above the frig to hold vases, pitchers, etc. - things you use only occasionally. It should still leave enough room between the top of the frig and bottom of the cabinet to place large items like bread baskets, platters, serving trays to put on top of the frig.Helpful Reply

C Crow on Nov 04, 2016All good ideas. While at it, you might want to hem a large rectangle of fabric that coordinates with your kitchen to place atop the frig. Then just pull it off once in a while to wash--eliminates that difficult cleaning of the top of the frig. Love to see what you finally settle on for storage.Helpful Reply
