Stupid question but im redoing one of my bedrooms that i use forca tv room/den. The walls are beige, cutains are beige, sliding closet doors are beige. The caroet is camel. I am pulling the carpet to put in a laminate and want to paint that room. Its 10 ft by 10 ft small but good for my tv room. I have a bango and three guitars mounted on one wall. My plan is to repaint the room in light grey with the guitar wall a darker grey with a black decal of a large tree and the branches holding the guitars. Do not want want to change the curtains as i think it works with the greys . Hooefully i drew a good picture to visualize my room? The floor will be pine colour. My cieling has a 42 inch fan/ light combo , couch is a beige leather. Only other things in that room is a 42 inch tv and 3 printers that i use for my business. Is grey a good choice? Any other thoughts?

Gray sounds relaxing and at the same time cool and inviting. Although I do not agree that beige and gray go together, the guitar wall sound amazing and I will be suggesting it to my family members. Maybe a few splashes of blue or even red might liven up the room a bit. Wine bottles, music books, LP’s, etc

project sounds fun so have fun with it!

If you use a grey that is considered "greige", it ties grey and beige together. Get a throw that is either a pop of color (like blue, red, orange) or a mix of colors that will help tie it in. Maybe some throw pillows, but I'm not a big fan of those unless you will actually use them. I think it's really cool that you will have your instruments on the wall. I would love to see it when it's finished. Take pictures along the way!

Very neat. I think if you go with a grey/beige it’ll work no problem. Try googling greige to see the colors that pop up. As long as you like it, that’s what is important.

  • Far too many neutrals going on, it needs life and color. If you keep the walls and floor neutral, add pops of color in your decor. Curtains, rug, throw, pillow, vase, photo frame - anything to give it some charm, personality and inspiration.

I was with you until you got to the pine colored floor. Pine is a yellow leaning color and I am not convinced that would work with gray. I would get some gray paint samples and put them up against the pine color flooring you are looking at. Just a thought.

We have a once bedroom that is a TV room now....We kept the beige carpet, walls are soft green with white sheer curtains. Have TV in an armoire and have a reclining couch for comfortable TV watching. With plants, corner mirror and end table/lamp it is quite cozy. I am not sure I would like the hard floor.....too much dusting.
