What is your question? It can certainly be done, but the new door will take up more room in your foyer. You may need to remove a bottom rail, if there is one and deal with refinishing that area as well. You can buy a door as close to the size of your owning..many are sold with the jambs attached for easy installation. Should be a relatively easy thing to accomplish. Measure the opening...drywall to drywall and take those measurements to home improvement store. It may be a "special order" door if it is not a standard size opening. Anything can be done, just a matter of expense sometimes. Good luck with getting your home finished the way you want it.
Barn doors are so popular..would you be interested in that? Just need to make sure you have enough room to slide it open. It will depend on the size, small opening would look better. Just an idea!
Yes, no problem! We have a Habitat for Humanity store here in Nashville that has available every imaginable door size out there. Another source for a regular door is any of the big box stores. Just remove all of your hardware that you used for the bifold and hang the "new" one. We did this a couple places in our home and we like the regular doors so much better.
