
How can I make sliding doors to cover my patio door?

not sure how wide your patio door is, but if it's 8 foot or less, you can get two sheets of plywood. Use the higher quality so it can be stained & has a decent surface. Edge each piece with 1x4's with either an X in the center or a Z, as you prefer. Stain same color as the plywood. You can find inexpensive barn door hardware on amazon. Good luck with your project. My first thought was to get the barn door fixture and use lighter weight doors for your patio door. Second thought, how about curtains with rings put on a black wrought iron rod to pull over your door in the evenings?Helpful Reply -
