What is the quickest way to sand down a porch swing?

by Kathy
I had a porch swing given to me that has chipping paint and doesn't match the colors of the house. I'm a novice when it comes to projects around the house. I need a quick tip to sanding down or stripping the old paint. Time is of the essence and I have no knowledge to back it up. Please help.

Plastic/metal scrapper for the loose chips if the wood is rough sand it figure out what color you want it to be (if it's in weather you'll need diff paint for that) you should be good to go

I used a finishing sander on my outdoor wooden table and chairs. Then I went over it by hand with steel wool so it was really smooth. I then painted several coats of outdoor paint. Looks great. Be sure you get a good coating of the paint on all surfaces to weather-proof it.

A hand sander would do wonders. Quicker than hand sanding, but is very easy to use. Start with a rougher sand paper, like a 120-150. Then go over with a finer sandpaper, like a 220.
