How can we build a replacement hot tub surround?
We need to build an all weather surround/skirt for our spa. My husband already tore off the old panels and replaced the framing. We'd like to use durable, all weather panels or planks.
We looked at waterproof vinyl flooring but the salesman said it would not hold up outside in the Florida sun. Other than wood, what other materials would you suggest?

look into mobile home/RV skirting comes in all colors styles even stone look a like all weather safe, long wearing and some insulated(do not say where you live)
Looks like all you need is siding to cover the existing structure. Inexpensively, mobile home skirting would be a good bet. Any exterior siding would work fine, and stone or brick plastic siding would be interesting. Expensive too. Here's an interesting one I found on Amazon:

Flat horizontal surfaces can be covered with Trex or similar material. You could also use it on the sides.
You could do faux stone panels. I've seen a lot of people use it on their foundation so I know it will hold up outside.
