Awnings’ structures are only going to hold so much before they fail.
The chances of the manufacturer making the structure any thicker or more stout than they need to, is unlikely.
Proceed with caution.
Hello Amyjo, I am thinking that the weight would be an issue for an attached awning, but you could add in other types at the edge of the aluminum to make the covered area larger, hope these ideas help you out.
