How to build a retaining wall?

How large and how high of a retaining wall are you wanting to build?

First you will need to decide on the material. It needs to be tied in and have sufficient drainage behind it as well. Drainage will involve gravel and pipe. This is much more complex than a quick answer here. Once you decide on the type of wall, re post your question for more specific tips. Also, add the terrain and soil type.
