I'd like to make a side panel for my sunsetter awning.
Cindy on Jun 14, 2017Hi Linda, I'm not sure a shower curtain would let the breeze thru. You could make a screen curtain by sewing screen to a fabric "frame". It would let the breeze thru but still block the sun. You could put weight in the bottom hem to keep it in place. Another idea is to use lattice as a side panel. Again, build a frame and nail the lattice to it. Hope this helps.Helpful Reply
Naomie Moore aka baileyanddaisey, Castaic CA on Jun 14, 2017Use screen fabric from any home improvement store. On the bottom, sew a chanel and insert a pvc pipe to keep it from billowing in the breeze. Your idea for attaching with velcro at the top is a great idea, go with it!Helpful Reply
