Unsturdy mailbox post
sturdy in the soil again without major work? I am a 73 year old somewhat handicapped woman.

Eglehawk on Apr 19, 2015Straighten up the post then add some sand to fill up any gap. If the soil is wet you can push down on the soil ,pushing it toward the post on all sides. Push the soil after a few rainy days. Sometimes that's all that's needed. Then when the soil dries it will be nice and tight again.Helpful Reply

Debellen on Apr 19, 2015Actually, the best way to firm it up is to dig the dirt out around it and pour in dry cement. It will absorb moisture from the ground and be cemented securely in place.Helpful Reply
