Wanda.ll on Aug 31, 2015Well all I can see is termites with this pallet kind of deck. Maybe buy blocks 4x12 or bigger and do a little at a time. Or see if you have a beg, barter and sale website for you area and see if someone has stuff to get rid of cheap.Maybe even list wanted on craig list.Helpful Reply

Janet Pizaro on Aug 31, 2015Understanding you want an inexpensive way of building a patio sometimes thats not always the best solution. Penny wise dollar foolish. There are websites to research inexpensive products. Did you ever search Craigs List? Not sure if it is in florida.Helpful Reply

Gail@Purple Hues and Me on Aug 31, 2015The quality of wood in pallets is not good at all. You'd be better off just laying large cement pavers down from Home Depot.Helpful Reply

Sally on Aug 31, 2015There are many great ideas out there for building things from pallets. There is no reason you could not build a inexpensive one with free pallets that will suit your needs. If there is a issue with termites just seal the wood which again not very expensive.Helpful Reply

Duv310660 on Sep 01, 2015Not sure if this is 'patio' enough, but you could dig out a shallow depression, lay down landscape fabric against weeds, stand up used bricks on their ends or sides along the perimeter of the fabric, and then fill in with an appropriate load of pea gravel. You can top this off with a bistro-style table and chairs, a collapsable umbrella and plant succulents around and inbetween the bricks. Oh! or instead of the bistro, unfols a canvas loung chair & keep it all for yourself for reading!Helpful Reply

UpState on Feb 21, 2016Scour "Craigslist" & "FreeCycle" for materials someone local may want removed for free. You can usually ask for items within these two choices.Helpful Reply
