Dip a sponge in baking soda and scrub a little, then add vinegar -it will bubble and let mixture sit awhile. -- You'll be amazed at how much cleaner it will be.

Soak and then scrape with something plastic so you don't scratch.

  • Put soapy water with a little vinegar in the crock pot and turn it on warm until it softens what has been burnt on the sides. Then dump the water and clean how you would normally clean.

Soaking it is the best idea but think about using crackpot liners in the future. They'll make clean-up a breeze. You can purchase at the dollar store.

Fill the offending pot with water to cover burned on food. Put a dryer sheet in and leave overnight. Next day, all the burned on food just comes right off with the wisk of a dishrag. sounds nuts but it works.

  • Fill it with water and 1/4 cup of baking soda. Add a drop or two of dish soap and turn it on high for a few hours.

  • I soak it with Dawn dishwashing liquid and hot water and use a soapy paper to scrub it clean after a bit. Then I use a kitchen brush to scrub any really stuck parts, nothing scratchy though. That will damage the pot.
