Try spraying the glass with oven cleaner outside your house. This should do the trick. If problem persists try “Goo be Gone”. Spray, wipe, like new!!

Hi. I had the same issue once. I took backing soda, and vinegar in portions that would make a thick paste. Added few drops of dish detergent and let it sit on the microwave plate for a hour. The gunk came off.
