How to remove coffee stains from my coffee maker

After years of use, I have coffee stains in the basket and drip area of my drip machine. How do I get rid of them. thanks.
Rub gently with baking soda and a non-scratch sponge. If it's very stained, may take a little more elbow grease to do it. The soda will not scratch the stainless.
Try making a paste of white vinegar and baking soda. It will bubble up. Generously work into the the stained area with a soft cloth. You may need to leave on a minute or so. Repeat if necessary. Rinse well once stain is gone. :)

Why bother? Alot of people I know never even wash the pot. Just rinse it out. The coffee flavors enhance the next pot.
A scrub of baking soda and hot eater will be very effective.
Sorry,
I meant baking soda and hot water... however, it will eat through the oily residue left from your coffee...
