There is a slot/gap between the glass on bottom. I slide a skinny knives with a cloth up and clean mine. Didn't know for years that was possible
Baking soda and Dawn dishwashing soap made into a paste and scrubbed in a circular motion should remedy the stains on the glass. Rinse, rinse, rinse, afterwards.
You can scrub with baking soda & hydrogen peroxide. Another option is spray with a degreaser, let sit, then scrub.
