You can slide a tube sock on to the end of a broom. Secure it with a rubber band. You can lightly spray your favorite cleaning solution on the sock. The broom stick should be able to fit behind your toilet. You can do the same thing with a yard stick too. Best of luck to you.

A yardstick with wet paper towels wrapped around it should work.
If you can get the lid off a yardstick covered with a towel or rag should work.
