How can I remove old bathtub stickers?

I purchased an older home and it has blue flower non-sticks. I tried goo-gone and scraping but can't get them off.

Try WD-40. Put on the Decals allowing it to work long enough to remove the adhesive. It will leave a residue that might take some time to get rid of.Use a non-toxic bathroom cleaner that would work on soap scum and see if that works of the residue or fill the tub with hot water and white vinegar.

I like the hairdryer idea, do not use a heat gun, you will damage your tub. After that, try mineral or baby oil to get the decals up. Soak the decals with the oil, let it set, try it and then use the hair dryer. After they come up, get the residue up with the oil or goo be gone. Or get a new tub.

If all else fails, try vinegar and water or try vinegar full strength. Soak rags in vinegar , lay on the decals for a bit. Never tried this on a tub but always removes labels and great to clean up before you install a new faucet.

My daughter reminded me of an old trick we use to use back in the 60's. Lighter fluid. She said they use it at the pharmacy where she works.....

I agree with Grammie ^^^, use full strength vinegar. Vinegar is recommended to help soften old caulking for removal when re-doing the bathtub surround, so it should work on this as well. Liberally spray it on or cover area with vinegar-soaked rags...may have to leave for several hours or overnight. Should soften up the adhesive enough for the decals to come off with minimal effort.

Goo Gone usually works on everything so the fact it's not might be because it's having a hard time penetrating through the outer layer. If you have a steamer, you might try that instead.

I scraped off what I could with a single bladed razor blade then mixed vinegar, soda and acouple drops of blue Dawn dish detergent, be sure to close the drain and let it sit in in the tub for as long as possible then scrape the residue with the single razor blade in the little holder for scraping pain from Windows. Hope this helps. My old tub looks so pretty and white, just like new!

You need to cover sticker even a little on the edges so that the goo gone can get under edges give it 24 hrs to work

I would give WD 40 a shot but remember it does have a smell.

Hey Becki: WD40 removes a lot of adhesives. Spray it on, let it sit for a bit, maybe 40 or 50 seconds, and then try to scrape it off with a plastic putty knife. You may have to do it a couple of times, but this should work. It works for me :)
