You can try one of two things to remove it so you don't have to hide it!

If the wax is still there, try using ice cubes in a ziplock bag to harden the wax so you can pick it up off the carpet. If that doesn't work, try using a brown paper bag or brown paper for shipping and a low heat iron to get the wax up. I have read that some use paper towels instead of brown paper, but the brown paper seems to be better in my past experience.

Just place the brown paper over the spot and heat up with the iron, the wax will absorb into the paper. Move paper to a clean spot and keep repeating until its all gone. Good luck!

Scrape as much wax off as you can. Then lay several layers of paper towels over a section and run hot iron over paper towels. The towels will absorb the remaining wax. Keep repeating until the wax is removed.

I've done the same thing with a hot iron and old soft cotton, like a sheet. Removed bright orange wax from beige carpet.... no stain.

I have taken wax out of carpeting with paper towels and a hot iron works fantastically. The was just remelts and absorbs into towels. Change often if you have to depending on how much was there is.
