In my house they dry overnight.
In the winter when the heat is on, by morning. With the AC running it is often late morning. It also depends on the thickness of the towels. Mine are not thick and luxurious :)
maybe hour or so or little longer, but not a whole day. This is when I rinse towel out with cold water and squeeze after I'm finish using it. It depends on temp in house/area.
Ask your husband to maybe use washcloth to take off most of water before using the towel. That depends on how much air goes through the room!
It depends on several factors: the temperature & humidity in your house, air flow in the area, the towel bunched up on the hook or straightened out evenly, thickness and size of the towel. There are probably more I haven't thought of. No specific answer, many variables.
Towels should dry over night. You may have too much humidity in your bathroom. If you have a ceiling fan, check the grille to make sure it is clean and drawing he moisture out.
Takes longer if you live in a humid climate
