Getting Dye Off Car's Leather Upholstery

Some dye from a plastic shopping bag print came off on my car's leather upholstery. I've tried several things to get it off with no success. How can I safely remove this ink from my upholstery?

Have you tried rubbing alcohol? Do not just pour over the leather straight from the bottle. Dab onto cotton balls, and gently swirl over stain using a circular motion. Change cotton balls frequently.

Apply aerosol brake parts cleaner to deep ink stains.
