How can I get dried up wax off an older doily?

The wax was on it when I got it, most likely candle wax. Thank you

Heat or cold will work . Heat -- place doily between sheets of white copy paper and iron . Should melt the wax into the paper . If dye remains in doily , try soaking in water with a colour catcher sheet . Cold -- place doily in a plastic bag in the freezer for a day or so . Wax should break in to pieces and fall off . This works better on thick clumps of wax . Good Luck :)

place between several sheets of paper towels and place warm iron on top. Change paper towel as wax melts.

Submerge in boiling water.
