How can I remove packing tape residue from a quilt and fleece blanket?

by Karen
I have a hand made quilt and a heavy fleece blanket. Both were used to wrap fragile items during a move. Packing tape was applied directly to these items and now there is stickey tape residue on both. Please advise how to remove. Thank you.

I have found using a warm blow dryer over the area will soften and melt

the glue and it can easily be pulled off. This method also works so well to remove price stickers and kid's stickers stuck on walls or furniture, works like magic!! Sure hope this will solve your problem. Wishes for perfect results!!!!

Try Goo Gone or Goof Off. Make sure it's OK for fabrics.
