I replaced the table too quickly after carpets were cleaned... carpets were still damp.

Try Spot Shot which you should find at a hardware or Home Depot type store. Spray and then massage in with your plastic gloved fingers. After a minute, blot to see if you’ve made progress. May need to repeat a few times to completely remove stain. I’ve taken out rust and tomato sauce from my cream carpet. Use a white terry towel for the blotting and gentle wiping of stained area.

Jan: Spot Shot is my "go to" carpet cleaner too!

When I clean carpets and need to put furniture back I put Cool Whip containers or smaller containers under the legs. Just using the lids helps too! Basically, whatever fits to keep any dampness from transferring any staining/rusting to the carpet. Slipping on sandwich bags or Ziploc bags works too! Sometimes is takes a few days for the carpet and pad to dry all the way. It may feel dry to the touch but it's not!

  • I use peroxide. If you try everything and can't get it out, you can paint it with textile paint so that it doesn't jump out at you.
